Balance

Updated: Feb 7, 2021

In daily life, teenagers need to balance exercise, studies, social lives, and extracurriculars, like working on Unifrog, internships, charity work, and school activities.

Balance is essential to maintain an effective education. Therefore, I urge Career Counselors to teach this to young adults. Encouraging a set-plan is necessary for maintaining a healthy, stable lifestyle and mindset. Consequently, career practitioners must stress the importance of this:

Teenagers need a minimum of thirty minutes per day of exercise to utilize their muscles to release healthy endorphins and stay fit and healthy both mentally, and physically. It promotes strong muscles and bones, reduces the risk for deadly diseases, whilst being a prominent stress reliever.

Mental health is a vital part of a teenager's life and impacts their thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. Being emotionally healthy can promote productivity and effectiveness in activities like work, school, or caregiving. Hobbies like yoga, meditation, and reserving down-time with friends can improve their mental health. It provides great comfort to teenagers to be aware, that they have a respectful leader available, who they can go to.

As humans, social interaction is indispensable to every aspect of our health. Research shows that having a strong network of support or strong community bonds fosters both emotional and physical health; this is an important component to set us up for adult life. Memberships to clubs, mental health support, friendships to unload worries to, and connecting family time all contribute to important social interaction.

These three factors should be reciprocated to teenagers persistently through career advice, as it trains young minds to balance their time and carry this useful attribute into the career's world ahead.
